“The stone occupies a lot of space and stands and moves in the surrounding space. The interplay in David’s sculptures create unexpected reverberations. Against the life revealing green of grass and leaves, the stones stand or sit calmly but obtrusively- almost primeval, very nearly timeless. As if the green shall grey and disappear and the black with white or the white with black stone shall remain forever. Almost like a gigantic syntax of eternity.“
